Welcome to Bara Asah Workshop (“we,” “us,” or “our”). Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using our website, purchasing our products, or booking workshops. By accessing our website, placing an order, or participating in our workshop, you agree to these terms.

1. Product and Material Variations
1.1 Color and Size Variation
1.1.1 Actual product colors may differ slightly from the photos due to screen calibration, lighting conditions, and photographic settings.
1.1.2 Leather color may vary from hide to hide, as they are dyed in different batches, which adds to the unique character of each piece.
1.1.3 As hardware is supplied by third-party vendors, there may be minor variations in craftsmanship, color, and size between batches. We can only guarantee the overall functionality of the accessories remains consistent.
1.1.4 All items are handcrafted and measured so that sizes may vary within approximately ±5mm.

1.2 Material Characteristics
1.2.1 Each piece of leather is unique and may feature natural markings such as scars, blood vessel lines, or pigment spots; these are normal and contribute to the authenticity of the material.
1.2.2 Leather may feel stiff initially, but it will soften and become more flexible with regular use, enhancing comfort and ease of access.
1.2.3 Metal components may oxidize or tarnish over time with prolonged use. This is a natural process and does not affect functionality.

1.3 Customization and Personalization
1.3.1 Custom orders or personalized products may have slight variations, especially in embossing position, size, finish, or condition. These differences are a natural part of the handmade process and contribute to the unique charm of each piece.
1.3.2 We will do our best to accommodate your preferences, but minor differences are natural and contribute to the unique character of each piece.

1.4 Product Representation and Disclaimers
1.4.1 We strive to depict our products accurately; however, colors and appearance may differ depending on your device and settings.
1.4.2 We do not guarantee that the product’s appearance or quality will meet your expectations or exactly match images on our site.
1.4.3 Product descriptions are subject to change without notice, and we reserve the right to modify, discontinue, or limit products at our discretion.

2. General Orders Policies
2.1 Placement and Confirmation
2.1.1 To place an order, please select your items and proceed with full payment.
2.1.2 Upon submission, you will receive an automatic confirmation email acknowledging receipt of your order. This email is not a final acceptance.
2.1.3 The order will be considered confirmed and scheduled for processing after 48 hours from submission, unless:
- You notify us of any issues, concerns, or cancellations within that period, or
- We contact you regarding any problems with your order during this period.
2.1.4 If neither party contacts the other within 48 hours, the order will be deemed confirmed and proceed accordingly.
2.1.5 We reserve the right to decline or cancel your order at our discretion at any point before processing begins, including due to stock shortages, payment issues, or other constraints.

2.2 Changes
2.2.1 Requests for changes to design, materials, embossing, or similar specifications must be submitted within 48 hours of the original order date.
2.2.2 Requests for changes made after 48 hours will incur an additional fee of 50% of the item’s price.
2.2.3 For change requests made after 48 hours, any additional costs arising from the modifications must be paid within 24 hours of notification. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of the requested changes, and no modifications will be made.
2.2.4 Requests for changes beyond the 48-hour window may result in delays to the production and delivery schedule; the revised delivery date will be communicated accordingly.
2.2.5 All change requests after production has started are not possible.

2.3 Cancellation
2.3.1 Requests for cancellation are only accepted if made within 48 hours of order placement.
2.3.2 If full payment is not received within 48 hours of order placement, your order will be automatically canceled, and no refunds will be issued for orders canceled due to non-payment.
2.3.3 Once production has started, cancellations are not accepted, and no refunds will be issued.

2.4 Production Time
2.4.1 The estimated production time of 28 business days starts after payment is received and confirmed.
2.4.2 The exact time may vary depending on embossing options, design complexity, and current order volume. Orders are processed in sequence.
2.4.3 All items are handcrafted and customized; please be patient to ensure the highest quality.
2.4.4 To ensure smooth production, please refrain from requesting updates on the order status within 14 business days after confirmation. This helps us maintain an efficient process and meet all production timelines.

3. Rush Orders Policies
3.1 Definition of Rush Order
3.1.1 Production time requested within 26 business days.
3.1.2 Rush orders will be given first priority in production and shipped out on the specified date.
3.1.3 Please note that we are unable to accept order requests with a production timeline of less than 4 business days.
3.1.4 If you require delivery within 4 business days, please click Here to view our available in-stock products, which can be processed and shipped more quickly.

3.2 Charges and Discounts
3.2.1 Rush orders are not eligible for promotional discounts.
3.2.2 The surcharge rates are based on requested production days:

3.3 Changes and Cancellations
3.3.1 Once payment for a rush order has been completed, it cannot be changed or canceled.
3.3.2 Please ensure all details are correct before payment submission.

3.4 Placement
3.4.1 Please contact us before placing a rush order to confirm we can meet your requested deadline.
3.4.2 Product design for rush orders is limited to standard items. Please Click Here to view the acceptable products list.
3.4.3 For rush orders requiring delivery within 14 business days, only default font embossing is available; custom fonts or other font options cannot be provided. Please Click Here to learn more about our embossing services.



4. Payment Policies
4.1 Prices and Discounts
4.1.1 Prices, discounts, and promotions are subject to change without notice.
4.1.2 The applicable price will be the one in effect at the time you place your order, as specified in your order confirmation email.
4.1.3 Prices do not include taxes, shipping, handling, or customs unless explicitly stated.
4.1.4 Please ensure the transferred amount is accurate. Underpayment may delay processing your order, while overpayment will not be refunded.

4.2 Accepted Online Payment Methods
4.2.1 We accept the following payment options via Shopify:
- American Express Card
- Visa Card
- MasterCard
- UnionPay
- PayPal
- Apple Pay
- Samsung Pay

4.3 Accepted Offline Payment Methods
4.3.1 For customers in Hong Kong, the offline payment options include:
- FPS
- Bank Transfer
4.3.2 Offline payment must completed before placing the order.
4.3.3 After placing your order, you will receive a confirmation email. Please submit your proof of payment (e.g., receipt or transfer screenshot) within 24 hours of receiving this confirmation.
4.3.4 We will verify your payment within 24 hours of receiving your proof. Once confirmed, we will proceed with processing your order.
4.3.5 Failure to submit proof of payment within the specified timeframe may result in processing delays or order cancellation.

4.4 Payment Processing Time
4.4.1 Payments completed before 6:00 PM (UTC 10:00 AM) will be processed on the same day.
- Example: Payment made at 5:59 PM (UTC 9:59 AM) on June 16 will be considered as made on June 16.
4.4.2 Payments completed at or after 6:00 PM (UTC 10:00 AM) will be processed on the next business day.
- Example: Payment made at 6:00 PM (UTC 10:00 AM) on June 16 will be considered as made on June 17.

4.5 Payment Authorization and Warranties
4.5.1 You agree to provide accurate payment information and authorize the payment for your order, including all applicable taxes and fees.
4.5.2 You warrant that your payment method is valid, authorized for use, and that charges will be honored by your bank or credit card issuer.
4.5.3 All payments shall be made in a single full amount. Partial payments will not be accepted.



5. Shipping and Delivery Policies
5.1 Delivery Times and Potential Delays
5.1.1 Delivery times vary based on destination, regional factors, postal or courier policies, customs procedures, and unforeseen circumstances beyond our control.
5.1.2 Estimated delivery times are provided as general guidance; actual delivery may be delayed. For specific inquiries, please contact your local courier service directly.
5.1.3 We process and dispatch orders promptly, but please note that international shipments may experience delays due to customs or other external factors.

5.2 Shipping Methods and Costs
5.2.1 Shipping options and rates are available at checkout and depend on the destination and chosen courier method.
5.2.2 We collaborate with trusted courier partners worldwide to ensure timely delivery.

5.3 Incomplete or Failed Deliveries
5.3.1 If a package is returned due to an incorrect address, failure to sign for the delivery, or if delivery is refused, you will be responsible for additional shipping and courier fees for redelivery.
5.3.2 Please ensure your shipping address details are accurate and complete to avoid delays or extra charges.

5.4 Risks During Transit
5.4.1 Our store uses tracking-enabled shipping methods to monitor the progress of shipments.
5.4.2 In some countries, local policies or customs procedures may restrict or limit the disclosure of tracking information, potentially affecting the visibility of your shipment’s status.
5.4.3 For inquiries about your shipment, we may submit a request to the courier company. Please note that responses, especially regarding customs or restrictions, may take approximately one (1) month.
5.4.4 We are not responsible for delays, damages, loss, or theft of goods occurring during transit, including those caused by postal or courier services or customs policies.
5.4.5 For valuable or time-sensitive items, we recommend selecting upgrade shipping options with enhanced tracking to reduce risks.

5.5 Import Taxes and Customs Duties
5.5.1 Buyers are responsible for any applicable import taxes, customs duties, or local fees imposed by their country.
5.5.2 Please verify your country's regulations before Order placement. Customs procedures may cause delays beyond our control.



6. Returns, Refunds, and Exchanges Policies
6.1 Return and Refund Eligibility Criteria
6.1.1 To be eligible for a return, products must meet all of the following conditions:
- Be in their original, unused, and pristine condition.
- Show no signs of use, damage, or stains.
- Be returned in their original packaging with all tags attached.
- Be accompanied by a valid receipt or proof of purchase.

6.2 Non-Acceptable Products for Refund
6.2.1 The following products are not eligible for return and refund:
- Custom, personalized, or made-to-order products.
- On sale products, discounted products and gift cards.
- Products where the leather, accessories, or other materials whose appearance or texture do not meet personal expectations (please refer to Section 1 for details).
- Products sent back without prior approval from our customer service team.
6.2.2 Please contact us before initiating a return if you are uncertain about a product’s eligibility for return or refund.
6.2.3 Under applicable EU law, certain products such as personalized items may be excluded from the right of withdrawal. We recommend verifying eligibility before returning any items.

6.3 Return and Refund Process
6.3.1 To initiate a return, please contact us within 14 days of receipt.
6.3.2 Upon approval of your return request, you will receive detailed instructions for returning your item.
6.3.3 Items must be shipped back via a trackable shipping method within 3 days of receiving our approval.
6.3.4 Failure to return the product within this timeframe may result in the cancellation of your return request, and we reserve the right to refuse a refund.
6.3.5 The customer is responsible for all return shipping costs unless otherwise agreed.
6.3.6 We do not charge any restocking or restoration fees for returned items.
6.3.7 Refunds will be processed within 10 business days of receiving and inspecting the returned item. Please note that banking processes may affect the timing of the credit appearing in your account.
6.3.8 All administrative or processing fees charged at the time of payment are non-refundable, regardless of whether the refund is due to order cancellation or item return.
6.3.9 If you do not receive your refund within 15 business days of approval, please contact us for assistance.

6.4 Exchanges
6.4.1 Exchanges are permissible if you received an incorrect, misdelivered, or missing product.
6.4.2 Please contact us within 3 days of receipt to request an exchange.
6.4.3 Products must be returned in their original, unused condition, and in the original packaging.
6.4.4 Returned products should be shipped via a trackable shipping method within 3 days of receiving our approval.
6.4.5 Failure to return the item within this period may result in the rejection of the exchange request.
6.4.6 We will cover the return shipping costs for products that were misdelivered or sent incorrectly.
6.4.7 The replacement product will be shipped within 14 business days after confirmation of receipt and inspection of the returned product.



7. Repair and Warranty Policy
7.1 Warranty Coverage
7.1.1. Each item is covered by a one-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects from the date of purchase.
7.1.2 During the warranty period, labor costs for repairs are covered and free repair parts, including:
- Stitching
- Leather edge paints and treatment

7.2 Exclusions
7.2.1 This warranty does not cover damage caused by or resulting from the following:
- Normal wear and tear, natural deterioration, stretching, and fading of leather or metal parts over time.
- Damage from unauthorized modifications or use of incompatible products.
- Damage caused by misuse, neglect, accidents, or improper handling, including exposure to excessive heat or moisture.
- Damage resulting from inappropriate cleaning methods or failure to follow our care instructions.
- Environmental damage, such as water damage or extreme temperatures.

7.3 Repair Process
7.3.1 To start a repair, please:
- Take clear photos of the damage from multiple angles, including close-ups of affected areas.
- Provide a detailed description of the issue, including its location and type.
- Include your order number and a brief history of the item if possible.
- Send all this information to us via email or contact form.
7.3.2 Once your repair request is approved, you will receive detailed instructions for returning the item. Please follow the instructions to arrange for the return shipment.
7.3.3 When returning the item, please choose a trackable shipping method and ensure the package is securely packaged to prevent additional damage during transit.

7.4 Repair Timeframes
7.4.1 Repair durations depend on the complexity of the issue and materials involved.
7.4.2 After the repair is completed, we will immediately contact the customer via email to notify them and arrange for pickup or delivery.
7.4.3 Our typical turnaround time is approximately 28 business days.

7.5 Repair Cost
7.5.1 Repairs covered under warranty are free of labor charges.
7.5.2 Repairs outside the warranty period may incur fees, which will be discussed and agreed upon before work begins.
7.5.3 Customers are responsible for return shipping costs. We recommend using a trackable shipping service for all returns.
7.5.4 For larger or complex repairs, a detailed estimate will be provided, outlining the necessary materials and labor costs.

7.6 Limitations
7.6.1 We are not responsible for damage caused by improper care, excessive use, or environmental factors such as water, extreme temperatures.
7.6.2 We cannot guarantee the exact restoration of the original appearance, especially for items of significant age or usage. We aim to restore functionality and aesthetic appeal.
7.6.3 We reserve the right to refuse repairs if the item's condition or damage exceeds our repair capabilities.



8. Intellectual Property Rights
8.1 Copyright and Ownership
8.1.1 All handmade leather craft items, including designs, patterns, and specific configurations, are the intellectual property of Bara Asah Workshop. We retain the copyright to our designs. Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or sale of these items without my express written permission is strictly prohibited. This includes, but is not limited to, copying, re-selling, or using the items in other products. Photos of my work are also protected under copyright and may not be used without permission.
8.1.2 All workshop materials, including designs and content, are the intellectual property of Bara Asah Workshop. Participants retain ownership of the physical product(s) they create.
8.1.3 Participants agree not to reproduce, distribute, or sell any workshop designs or materials without express written permission from Bara Asah Workshop. This includes, but is not limited to, digital reproductions and sharing of workshop content online.
8.1.4 Participants may use the techniques and knowledge gained in the workshop for personal projects, provided they do not infringe on the intellectual property rights of others.

8.2 Website Content and Use
8.2.1 All website content, but not limited to all trademarks, brands, text, displays, images, graphics, product reviews, video, and audio, and the design, selection, and arrangement thereof, are owned by Bara Asah Workshop, and are protected by intellectual property laws.
8.2.2 Unauthorized use of this content, such as capturing our property to solicit quotations from others or any other form of unauthorized reproduction or distribution, is strictly prohibited without our express written permission.



9. Legal and Policy Notices
9.1 Important Notices
9.1.1 We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on this page.
9.1.2 The laws of Hong Kong govern these terms, and disputes will be resolved in courts located in Hong Kong.

9.2 Errors, Inaccuracies, and Omissions
9.2.1 Occasionally, there may be typographical errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in information related to product descriptions, pricing, promotions, offers, shipping charges, transit times, or availability.
9.2.2 We reserve the right to correct any such errors, update or change information, or cancel orders if any details are found to be inaccurate, at any time without prior notice—even after an order has been submitted.

9.3 Language Version
In the event of any inconsistency or discrepancy between the Chinese and English versions of this Policy, the English version shall prevail.
